Abstract: |
The basic dangerous parameters characterizing air shock wave are peak overpressure and explosive impulse. For these purposes pressure gages are usually used. Optical methods imply alternative technique. Optical diagnostics owing to non-contact applying, absence of influence on parameters of object under studying have a series of advantages that allows one to perform measurements. Experimental measurements of shock wave propagation from explosions of different energetic materials are presented. Each test is recorded with a high-speed digital video camera and the shock wave is visualized using background-oriented schlieren method. |
